Personalised Thank You Teacher Card Is a Great Way to Say Thank You to Your Teacher

What better way to show your appreciation to someone who has been a constant pillar of support for 5 years of your life (by inspiring, motivating and challenging you to be the best you can be), than to say thank you in the form of a card with a personal touch? I am of course referring to that moment when a dedicated teacher receives a personal card from her year 11 students going on study leave, but who wished to acknowledge the dedication which they received from their teacher. For just a few quid, that is exactly what the students of a school in the North of England did, and thus caused a usually steely teacher to burst into floods of tears at the touching and personalised messages on the cover and on the inside of the card. This steely teacher is my sister, and I know first-hand how difficult it can be for her to show emotion. However her students did the impossible by simply ordering a touching but personalised 'thank you teacher' card online.

I for one know that my sister will cherish that card, and it will be something for her to look back at fondly in years to come. It is amazing how a simple card can evoke such emotions and nostalgia. I (like many I know) am one of those hoarders of cards, and from time to time like to take out the cards I have accumulated over the numerous birthdays I have celebrated. Whilst a box of chocolates or a perfume are greatly appreciated at the time, these items hold no sentimental value, and are a momentary gift soon forgotten when the last squirt of perfume adorns your wrist, or when the last morsel of chocolate passes your lips.

Whilst the longevity of the chocolate may increase if you are to believe the saying "a moments on the lips, a lifetime on the hips", I'm sure many would agree that an increasing waistline certainly wouldn't be looked at with the same fondness as a thank you card. The personalised touch to a card is as inexpensive as a card bought from the shops, however it shows that there has been prior thought and planning gone into the purchase of the card. Whilst it may only take around 5 minutes to personalise and order a card online from the comfort of your home, it can deceptively appear to be a gift in which there has been a great deal of organisation and planning. The few minutes that were taken by those year 11 students to order that card online will be remembered for a lifetime by my 'soppy at heart' sister or 'Miss Khan' as she is known to her appreciative students.
